TMS Therapy
For many millions of Americans, antidepressant medications alone do not provide relief from depression.
Get startedTranscranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) therapy is a non-invasive solution that has provided long-lasting improvement in the majority of the people treated after 4 to 6 weeks. Treatment is completed in-office and uses magnetic pulses to stimulate nerve cells in the brain which helps to improve symptoms of depression.
The patient sits in a cozy reclined chair where a small, contoured magnetic coil will be positioned lightly on the patient's head.
The coil delivers focused magnetic stimulation directly to the target areas of the brain that are under-active in depression for 19 minutes.
Normal activities can be resumed immediately. Depending on the prescription, treatment will be administered 5 days a week for 4 to 6 weeks.
