FAQ's

1. What is your policy for taking time off?

Take time off whenever you need. Just keep your availability updated in our EMR so patients know when they can schedule with you.

2. Do patients contact me through email or my personal phone number?

No, patients are given the clinic phone number, and will then speak with a staff member during regular business hours. The staff will address the patient’s needs as much as possible. If there are issues that require your attention, they will notify you and ask for your input. If the patient calls after-hours, they are able to leave you a voicemail, which is emailed to you.

3. Do you bill for patient calls?

It is unlikely you will have to call a patient but we do offer the option if patients insist on a call before their appointment. Our team will send you a call-back request that will connect you to the patient. You don't have to worry about blocking your number, as the call is routed through our phone system. We do bill patients for this as it is an additional service that insurance companies do not cover. We always recommend patients to schedule a visit to see you in person.

4. Can I offer TMS therapy as a preferred provider? Are you able to offer training?

Yes, as long as you are a physician. Once you have a qualified patient, we can schedule training. Please note that services will need to be completed in our office, and you only conduct the initial mapping, not each treatment session.

Not sure what transcranial magnetic stimulation is? Read more about it on our TMS services page.

5. What is the process for joining Sensible Care as an independent contractor?

Send us your latest CV. Once we send you an invitation to join, you'll complete your CAQH profile and send us the data summary. Then, we'll work on getting you paneled with our various insurance panels. The process can take up to 5 months to get fully credentialed. Once we have an effective date for you, we will provide an orientation, and begin to refer patients to you!

6. Can I join Sensible Care as an independent contractor if I'm a Therapist?

California Assembly Bill 5 (AB5) does not allow us to hire Therapists as Contractors at this time.
